The following chart is derived from information from Kodak. This is a basic processing cycle for rack & tank processing with replenishment. Always do a snip test and ensure you're satisfied with the results before following any processing procedures.

Comments

Developer 3:15 37.8 +/- 0.15
(100.00 +/- .25)
Using nitrogen burst of 2s every 10s with 5/8" (1.6cm) soulution rinse Total Darkness Forms metallic silver & dye image
Bleach 3:00 to 6:30 38 +/- 3**
(100.00 +/- 5)
Same as developer, but with air instead of nitrogen Total Darkness Stops development, converts metallic silver image to silver halide
First Wash 1:05 to 3:15 24 to 41***
(75 to 105)
Same as developer, but with air instead of nitrogen Normal Room Lighting none
Fixer **** 4:20 to 6:30 38 +/- 3**
(100.00 +/- 5)
Same as developer, but with air instead of nitrogen Normal Room Lighting Converts silver halide in film to soluble silver salts, removes silver salts
Second Wash 3:15 24 to 41***
(75 to 105)
Same as developer, but with air instead of nitrogen Normal Room Lighting Removes residual chemicals from film
Stabilizer 1:05 24 to 41
(75 to 105)
none Normal Room Lighting Stabalizes dyes & aids even drying
Dry As required Nothing over 60
(140)
none Normal Room Lighting none
*Includes immersion time and transfer time to the next tank. Keep transfer time to 20 seconds or less.
**If you increase the bleach & fixer times to 6 minutes, 30 seconds or longer, you can extend the bleach & fixer temperature range to 24 to 41 C (75-105F).
***In some processors, a lower wash-water temperature may affect solution temperatures in adjacent tanks. Longer warm-up times may be needed. If it affects developer temperature during processsing, you may need to use a higher wash-water temperature.
****Use a two-stage (two-tank) countercurrent fixer, preferably with the same time in each tank. Agitation & filtration are required in each tank. If your processor has a single fixer tank, using in-line electrolytic desilvering will decrease the safety factor for adequate fixing.
