I did a calendar for a model last year and used SNS Printing
in Arizona -- ask for Shawn.
This was my first experience doing a calendar long distance -- and the model waited to commit to the project until the last minute..... The biggest difference I found in working with a long-distance printer and a local printer was looking at proofs. There should be a little time and budget in there for the printer to Fex Ex or Priority Mail (there's the time vs budget thing) proof pages to you for approval. When I worked with a local printer on a project, he just sent them over or dropped them off at lunch -- that was easy and I got a free lunch....
Best of luck
Let me throw in another plug for Samantha from Houston -- she was great to work with!
