Yes, and most Minolta brands are very good and within a couple hundred dollars or so. Good luck.

Hello Barb,
Thanks for the quick feedback. What do you think about this one and do I need any of that extra stuff to go with it?

Thanks.... and I just looked at your site... Very nice... Thanks for the info... You most of you always use a Flash Lightmeter or do you see a big need for a spot meter?

That's the one I have, and have never had an ounce of problems with it. No, I wouldn't recommend any of the accessories--just batteries.

Like they say down there, the L-358. I personally think it is one of the more affordable and more accurate meters out there. Also in this day and age, if you ever going to be looking at Pocket Wizard technology this meter is equipped for that technology. With purchase of the meter you can buy the transmitter to go in it for around $25 special as per sekonic.

I am currently using a L-408 from sekonic, but if i can ever justify getting a new meter, that would be the one of choice. If you are into spot metering, I would suggest the L-558 which is the L-358 with spot meter on it. Same deal with the wireless technology possibilities.

And with dynalite packs now coming with WI built in, it all but makes sense to go sekonic

So I did! Bought mine from Unique Photo a few weeks ago. Great meter, great price and speedy delivery! The salesperson? ... blech! LOL

Just teasing, Jas!
