Working with a beginning model can be a bit trying at times as they learn the ropes and master a portfolio of poses. I was looking for a place I could send beginners to look at a variety of simple poses that they wouldn't have too much difficulty relating to. Let's face it, some of those posing books with the girls in the same outfit page after page look a bit dated and can put anybody to sleep.
Try this site:
This is the Neiman Marcus on-line designer clothes catalog. Lots of top name designer's clothes, beautiful models, images that fill the screen, and NO NUDITY!
The photography is straightforward, the poses for the most part are simple and easily mastered yet look professional. All in all, a fun place to browse and learn a bit about what a model contributes to creating an image.
I've got no connection to Neiman Marcus, I don't work for their adverting agency or anything like that. I just think they have a good place for beginning models (and photographers!) to pick up some great pointers on posing such as how to stand, where to put hands, etc.
