I'm going to bite the bullet and update my camera system. Have done a lot of shooting over the last 2 years with my E20 but have finally gotten tired of bumping into it's limitations (buffer size, high ISO noise, focus speed) it's a great camera but I've outgrown it.

I think I've decided on my new package, but would like some feedback from people actually using some of my first choices. I do a wide variety of work from wedding and portrait to sports to a bit of glamour here and there, so was looking for a versatile system that can grow with me rather than be outgrown. Here's what's on the wish list:

D70 Chosen over D100 mainly for buffer speed
70-200 2.8 VR
17-55 2.8 DX
SB800

Any users out there that love or hate one of these that they've used regularly? I was OK testing everything in the store but that's not exactly a long term relationship

Thanks for your input.

Well I love my D100. When I was looking for a new camera I could not go for the high end Nikon so I went with the D100. I did not need a large buffer and still don't so I am still very happy with the D100.

Steve,
I have the D70 and love it! You're coming from an E20, I was coming from a F717.....while both nice cameras, they are no comparison to the D70. Now I can buy great Nikon glass (as I can afford it) and eventually just update to new bodies down the road. I think you'll find the D70 a very good system to grow with.
