Call me a horses rear, but I bought Astia film off of ebay mainly because it had an expiry date of May 2005 and I needed a large volume of it. The company (FILMCLUB) from ebay is pushing 20 packs of this for about 40.00

I stupidly assumed that because the expiry was only 1 year away (usually film I buy has a 2 year life), that it was just 1 year old film.

James Tu and myself have both found color shift problems indicitave of expired film. I developed 10 rolls and every one of them is bad. I have thrown the rest away.

The catch on this one is that when the box arrives, it has a photo copied sticker with fuji's logo on it. Immediately I knew something was up.

Hopefully my stupidity will save you wasting money. Stay away from film club. This is a scam pure and simple.

The other possibility is that the film has been mistreated -- left out in the heat. Put in the wrong warehouse, etc.

There's always a reason why something is so far below price....

I too purchased 20 rolls of Astia from Film Club, I saw that their feedback was around 99% so I purchased the film that would expire on 11/05. I left them positive feedback because I shot my first two rolls in conditions that would have a violet/bluish tint, and figured it was a great deal. Before I bid, I asked them how the film was stored, they said its always cold stored.

I won't be throwing away mine just yet, I will use it as ''practice'' film.

I checked them out

I took a look at their feedback. They sell an incredible amount of film and have a very high feedback rating. IN the last year they have only had 7 negatives out of 2360 transactions. If they were putting fake labels on products, you can be sure there would be many negatives. By the way, I couldn't find your negative feedback posted against them. Didn't you post a complaint? Did you contact eBay to take advantage of their guarantee?
Did you contact the seller to see what they have to say?
Cheers,
rfs
