Does anyone have any advice on a portable device that I can store images on via a card reader or built in card reader.

Thanks,
Jim

they work well, LCD and up to 80GB or more storage. Then again, labtop

If it's something down and dirty you need, this looks promising.

Looks like good storage and nice versatility. The downside is that it doesn't have an image previewer. But if you don't want to go the laptop route it may be a nice alternative.

Check out Flashtrax by Smartdisk. I just got mine not to long ago and it works like a charm. http://www.smartdisk.com/ 3.5 inch screen and a built in mp3 player...seems pretty hard to beat

Thanks everyone. I had seen some of these devices but some were new. I like having choices.

battery life. try to avoid NiMH battery packs and go with litium ion.

if you must go with NiMH, then you may wanna create some sorta device to uses larger battery cells and plugs into your device as A/C. that's what i've done with my digital wallet.
