If I want to rename all the photos in a folder to a differant system (instead of DSC_0001 - DSC_0200), how would I do that? I want to use the peoples names or date in the rename as well.
Thanks,

If you have Photoshop CS you can use the "file browser" Select the files you wnat to rename. Under Automate is batch rename. Type the new name and the ext. You have three choices of data. IE Date the images was taken, ### from 1 to whatever. You get the idea and then GO

I Use ComUPic. Same setup. I like it better, only reason is the three options are easier to get to, all on one line I just type. May also be that i had it before CS

Hope this helps

Personally I use BreezeBrowser since its designed for image management/manipulation. However, you can use a free program (on steroids) for renaming, called 1-4a Rename. As the others said, you can do it in Photoshop as well.
