Bill,

Thanks for all the information on power converters. I broke down and purchased a Lewis and Clark Dual Converter. It has a high setting for equipment up to 1600w and a low setting for equipment up to 50w. I am thinking that the low setting should be able to power my laptop or my battery charger without a problem. If not, I will have my film body with me as well (film what's that). Thanks again to everyone for all the help.

Well i usually called them words I cant repeat here..... know the type though...had a wonderfull lady...blew up 8 laptops in 6 months...they brought me in to figure it out.... best I could figure she had a bad "tech vibe" electronics just didnt like her....

You will need a step-down transformer, for converting 220 voltage to 120 voltage, as well as plug adapters to the 220 type plugs. Be sure you have enough transformer capability for all the lights you will need to power.

Many of the buildings in Europe are very old, so be aware that you will encounter some old wiring systems and control boxes.
