I can't imagine there would be a problem. You can also go to Adobe's sight and download a "trial" version of PS CS. Do a search on Google for Adobe Photoshop Trial...better yet, here is the link

http://www.adobe.com/products/tryadobe/main.jsp

The file is about 151 MB so I hope you have cable or DSL. You can try out just about every Adobe product made from that link.

Have fun.

Interesting though, there is nothing on the Adobe website - in the specs or the system requirements - that specifically says you can "upgrade" from previous versions, only from v7. I looked because I'll be making the same upgrade (I hope). Previously I've been able to skip a version, and I hope I can this time too. This sucker just keeps getting more and more expensive.

Thanks for sharing that, Andy. I'll have to spend some more time on the Adobe sight and see what I can glean. I didn't read it closely to see if one could upgrade from 6.0 or prior versions. Here's hoping!

Happy Holidays!

If you can't upgrade, don't pay full price ($649), follow this link:

http://www.adobe.com/store/products/...rcecode=112300

and put in the S/N of your previous version or a recent version of Photoshop Elements and if it is accepted, you can get the Full CS for $299.

Which site? Where did you see that? Can you post the link? I looked extensively on the Adobe site and could find nothing that says you can't upgrade from PS6, only statements that CS is the upgrade from PS7. That's not the same thing.

After my previous post, I went to the Adobe store (which wasn't working last night). When you want to buy the upgrade to PS/CS, it says: "To install upgrade successfully, you will need a licensed version of Photoshop 7.0 or earlier on the same platform as this purchase."

http://www.adobe.com/store/products/...d=catPhotoshop

Sounds to me like those of us with PS6 will be ok.
