Merry Christmas everyone,

Just wanted to know if anyone is using CS yet and if you like it. Is it worth upgrading to? Does it have any features that really make it worth upgrading from my current 7.0.1? Inquiring minds want to know.

Good day!

Mike

mike,

it's worth twice what it's price is. i have absolutely no complaints about this version -- i feel it's a hundred times better than 7.

definitely geared towards photographers with all the new features.

I agree with Sean, it is hands down the best photoshop ever. And the features for digital photographers is remarkable. I am still working on learning how to use all the new features. Go upgrade today! What are you waiting FOR!?!?!?!

I just said, 'Oh, what the heck' and I got CS. I am having one problem with it though. I've already set up all my preferences and they match my settings from PS 7.0 but I don't have any functionality with the SHIFT, CTRL, and ALT keys for shortcuts like SAVE, RESIZE, etc. I don't recall that they need to be "enabled" in any way. Any ideas???? I am so used to using shortcut keys. Now I have to interrupt my flow and grab the mouse and find what I'm looking for. It's only a minor inconvenience (like not having the remote for my TV) but those keys should work fine in the new program.

What next?

Happy Holidays!

Mike,
I too am having this problem with not being able to use my keyboard shortcuts. It is becoming a pain in the butt. I have been using photoshop since version 3 and am familar with all the shortcuts, and have been really upset that CS doesn't allow you to use the shortcuts. Anyone have any ideas how to enable the shortcuts or make them work?

I hope you don't take this wrong but I'm glad you're having the same problems as I am. I only mean that in the sense that it tells me I don't have a problem with my computer. I first thought that I might have a corrupt install but since you have the same trouble, that pretty much rules that out. I did a search on PHOTOSHOP CS FORUMS on Google and came up with a number of places to pose the question but I haven't done so yet. I'm hoping that I can find the answer here. Here's hoping!!

If I find out, you will be the first one to know. I'll send you an email and I'll probably post the info here as well.

Good day sir!

Mike
