Is any one using tungsten light with thier strobe units for a warmer look? The couple of examples I've seen were shot on slide film. It gave the skin tones a beautiful golden glow. tungsten exposure was about a half stop less than the strobes. Could this be used with negative film and not have the lab take the gold cast out during printing?

Well, the lab may take the color out -- but check the proofs and ask them to print it without correction.

I'm backwards -- I've been using the tungsten setting and using the strobes to add some blue.....

you have to find the right balance between the two light sources...leave the shutter open a bit longer to let the warm tungsten light burn in after the burst of flash. if you're shooting digital, piece of cake. just keep adjusting till you get the effect you want.
