Do you guys and gals copyright images under your business name or real name?
What if the business isn't legally a business? I'm really part time and work out of my home. I have not filed anything with the county so leagally H & H Photography doesn't exist. Should I copyright using my name?

Thanks.

Mark

Hey Mark. If H&H doesn't exist you should use your real name. However, in Canada anyways, it only cost me about $30 to register my business. Its worth looking into.

Better to use your name.

You might sell your business, and relocate at some point in time, or you might close a business. If you copyright under your own name, you are covered.

Also, the way the law reads, you are covered as the creator, when the image is made. That aspect makes it desirable to use your name, and avoid issues of who owns what, when.
