I find myself using 5.5 more often than not, because I can open the brush pallette and leave it on the screen as I work. In PS 7.0 I have to "mouse" up to the tool bar click, then click the down arrow and use the sliding scale to pick a brush size or pick a preset, by scrolling down. It drives me nuts!

My question is there a quick function key to pick your brushes or a way to leave the brush pallette open in PS 7.0 on the screen while I am working?

Jeff,

If you use the left bracket and right bracket keys when working with the paint brush, you can change size quickly as needed. Alt and the bracketkeys will adjust hardness and softness. Hope this is what you were after.

Nick

if you like the brush palett undocked then just drag it to your workspace...and it will float around anywhere...I just did it in PS 7

F5 will pop open and close the brushes window in question, but getting familiar with the other brush shortcuts is probably better.

Get A Radeon 9000 video card. This alows you to split the screens to two monitors. Working image on one and all tools and paletts on the other...magical. Later Hugh
