Now that I have this copyright symbol thing worked out, I have a few hundred images that need my copyright and name on them. Is there a way to "Batch" process this?

Also, Can somebody walk me through the Batch process. Marc said in a post below that you hit record? There is no record button on my keyboard. I have no manual and even less of a clue as to what's going on ...

Thanks,

Not the keyboard. from the menu... but that depends on the software you are using. Not knowing which program you are using, I cant tell you where it is.

If you are using "Adobe Elements" there is also a "batch" command on the File Menu.

There is a batch command on my file menu. But how do I tell it what to do?

Okay, here go's

I will try to walk you thru this step by step

1. Open an image
2. Click on to the action pallet
3. Click on the little icon on the bottom that when you mouse over says new
4. Go thru the procedure that you would normally go thru.
5. Make sure you go thru a save for web or save action
6. And then make sure you go thru a close window action
7. When it asks if you want to save it on your close commend say NO
8. Once you have your image branded, hit the stop button
9. That action is now saved.

Here is good point, now quick Photoshop and restart it, you do this as it writes away the action to memory, if your puter crashes, you loose the action, but once its saved your safe.

Now you can do this two ways,

One is to create droplets, but lets not worry about that right now

The other is this

Get all your images, (they have to be the same size as the one you branded or the position will be out of place) into one directory

When you saved for web or saved in your action, you should have before you did that create a working directory, by working, I have all my actions go into my WIP (work in progress) directory.

Now go to Photoshop and go

File,
Automate batch
Select the back you just created (it should be already selected)
Then select your source folder
And then just hit OK

That should do it I think…

Good luck.

Holy blood sausage David,
Once again you amaze me with your giving spirit. You should be out with that lovely young lady and yet here you are helping folks on the forum. Man thanks for reminding me that helping others is helping you personally.

By the way as a man of Irish descent Miss Sue reminds me of what it feels like to be young (or was that the blue pill? or should I have taken the white one, damn getting old is tough).

Thanks everybody.

I had no idea what those pallette things were.

I fixed a couple of hundred images last night and almost caught up with my editing and CD burning. Ain't technology wunnerful?

Photoshop challenged Bruce

PS For you young whippersnappers, the subject line refers to the co-star of a **** Clark-produced afternoon show in the 1960s. Paul Revere & the Raiders were frequent guests. "Kicks just keep getting harder to find ..."
