How do you get a copyright symbol?

I have a used version of PS6. No manual. How can I put a copyright "c" on my pics?

hold down the ALT key while pressing the numbers on the keypad

when you release the alt key the symbol will show up

...than just Photoshop. They come from the OS, not the application software, and so will work in Quark, Dreamweaver, MS Word, whatever.

As noted, however, the keystroke combinations for Mac (both classic and OS X) and Windows differ.

That is true, but it only works with fonts installed on the computer.. and some fonts DO NOT include all of the extra characters. I would look thre the "character Map" application on a windoze system, but know not where to look on an apple (it might be under the PLU sticker that has the product code that you use at the self serve checkout in the grocery store.) [Sorry, couldn't resist the Apple=Fruit, analogy]
