That's a big topic. Partly, it's your preference.

I shoot in sRGB. 1) it's more commonly used, 2) more devices will display sRGB correctly 3) it keeps the workflow down because I don't have to manage conversions.

The AdobeRGB might make the most difference on print output where the richer color gaumat will make a difference. I have no complaints with what I'm getting from sRGB.

If you want a simple workflow and you are only going to print to Frontier printer or the WEB sRGB will do the job most of the time.

Adobe 98 if you want to process RAW and take advantage of the 12 bit color capture of advances DSLR's. You are interested in high quality printing and wider color gamut. Outdoor Nature scenes demand wider gamut colorspace.

Keeping your camera and photoshop colorspace the same avoids the possibility of conversion errors.

Same can be said about 16 bit image processing.

Keep it simple unless your needs demand it.
