Hi,
I would like to have your expiriance on this two issues that I;m trying to understand since I have a different results in portrait photography.
I'm interesting to know what picture style/color matrix you are using when shooting for example portraits that interesting me the most.

For example:

1. I have Canon 5D MKI and second Canon 1Ds MKII, color space is always sRGB, Color temp. always preset by grey card or when shooting in late afternoon I use K6000 sometimes...

What picture style(for 5D) or Color matrix(for 1DsMKII) you are using. Are you using any of the camera deffined like standard or you are using USER def./made by you.

Why I ask this?

When shooting outside with natural light 1Ds is outstanding and 5D is very good, no complain but when I shoot in Studio with strobes(alienBees 1600 for example) I have a big differance between 5D and 1Ds camera although I use the same adjustment in total just the differance is in color matrix/picture style. The differance is that the 5D gives me very nice color tone, good saturation + little wormer much better for my taste and the 1Ds give me solid saturation but the colors are not near as on 5D and I used the same settings and the color is always preset by grey card. Even if I use standard picture style /color matric n cameras the colors are not the same.
Is there anything that I'm missing.
Would like to have your expiriance on this.
Thanks Zak

Personally, I shoot in Raw and process in Photoshop or Lightroom. In Photoshop I work in Adobe RGB and convert to sRGB for web output. TRhen teh color styles, etc. don't matter.

Hi Zak,
I also use a custom white balance, but I go a little further by shooting a xrite color checker target as well. I can then make a custom camera profile in lightroom or photoshop. I end up with great color no matter which camera I am using.
