Hi,
I have just bought with help of a friend of a friend(verry long circle) AlienBees b1600, my first American product and I'm very proud to finally have it.... but now since it is not for Europian market standarad for example in terms of softbox, I do not have here possibilities to find appropriate attaching system for soft box or beauty dish(here the most regular is Bwens system)...
Can you help me by giving me the links or information of what kind(connection) of softbox the AlienBees requires....

thanks
rgds Zak

Here you go. And I think they will ship just about anywhere. I have not found a better company to deal with.

I agree with the above advice. What you're looking for is called a Speedring. It connects a softbox with your Alien Bee strobe

Alien Bee lights use the Balcar style speed ring system. Easily found at many fine online establishments.

Or deal with Paul Buff directly as others have pointed out.

I originally bought a large octobox from one of the "eBay" vendors, Amvona I think. It works great but is a nightmare to set up. By the time I fight with the ribs, I'm out of breath.

I later bought one of the White lightning boxes mentioned in the link. It opens and closes like an umbrella. Much, much easier. The speed ring comes with it.

Have to agree about the customer service. I was in Atlanta doing a shoot (I'm from Philly) and needed an additional light. Even though I called late in the afternoon, they had one at my hotel the next morning.
