Adobe Photoshop is now 20-years old this month! Heck, many photographers using it today were in diapers back then. Where were you? Here's my blog post on Photoshop and Arny's thoughts! Thanks, rg sends!

I hate to say it, but I started digital manipulation before photoshop. Before Adobe there was a company called Aldus. They created Pagemager which Adobe bought out. They also had a program called Digital Darkroom. I loved it. It did some things you can't do today, but then again, Photoshop has morphed into something so incredible, Happy Birthday Photoshop!

Twenty years ago I was working at an advertising agency, doing graphic design and photo retouching by hand and shooting pictures with film cameras.

I shot my first digital image in 1998, with another photographer's camera. HE burned it to a CD and I worked with it for a week or so, but can't remember the program. I know it wasn't Photoshop.

I did purchase a version of Photoshop in 2000, and also my first digital camera.

A 4 mpx Olympus E10, which I still have, and it still works.

Yeah, talking about nostalgia. In 1995, I graduated from high school, and began college, and along with a basic black and white class, I took the "digital darkroom" class where I learned Photoshop, then, version 2.5. I have watched Photoshop go through some major changes in the last 15 years, changes for the better. Congrats to all of the people who have worked on Photoshop over the past 20 years!

Did not use PS until 1993, used other software before that.
Not a big computer user in 1990.

I had an early version sometime around 92. I was shooting medium format then and remember thinking "This is kind of cool, I wish there was a way to use this on real photographs." I guess I should have invented a digital SLR!
