I'm trying to practice using the rule of thirds. I was wondering if any one new if any one made stick on grid lines for your viewfinder? I thought that would be a great way to line up shots. BTW it's for a Canon XTI.

Canon makes different focusing screens for their cameras. Maybe one of those can fit your needs?

If your camera has "live view" you may have the option for a grid showing on the screen.

Having familiarity with this particular camera I know that there's no grids with it. I do seem to remember some company or other having the 1/3rds slip in grid for Canon. Unfortunately I can't remember what the name was.

There is this...

Maybe this is what you are looking for?

Try Googling "Focus Screen Canon"

...actually I found the site...
http://www.katzeyeoptics.com/page--G...gridlines.html

Now that I think on it I did in the past ask about getting a 9x12 (3x4) grid done. That was / is the standard print size for Fashion portfolios. With that grid I could ensure that I got the elements within that limit. Can't remember the price though.

The Katzey screens run from 150 to 200 dollars depending on the options you choose. But if I'm not mistaken the Canon XTI does not have a removable focusing screen.
