I cannot get myExtreme IV 2gb CF card to display in Adobe Bridge. The images are uploaded, but will not display. When I try to open them in Photoshop CS3 I get a message "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document". I am photographing in Raw and I am using a new Nikon D300s
I have switched cards between a D70 and the D300s.
Didnt have this problem when I was just using the D70.
Any insight will be greatly appreciated,

BH

It could just be a one off strange issue. I'd try to delete the cache for that folder or better still copy the files to your desktop first and try like that.

Double check your version of bridge and make sure it recognizes the D300. You may have to load in the latest update. I think your CS3 might be about the same age as the D300

Good luck

Since you mentioned a "new" Nikon, you might have to get an update from Adobe for the D300 RAW files.

To process RAW files from the D300s you need Camera Raw 5 or above which is only available for CS4.

CS3 will not recognize files from the D300s. You will need to upgrade to CS4 or use the software that came with your camera.

You do have an alternative to upgrading to CS4,(or at least a work around)
You can download the DNG converter from the Adobe site
http://www.adobe.com/products/dng/ and use it to convert your
raw files to the Adobe DNG format that will work with older versions
of Bridge (and Camera Raw)
