Here we go again. I just upgraded to 64-bit processing and Windows 7 ... and just like when I upgraded to Vista, Windows Explorer won't display PSD thumbnails (it only shows the PSD logo). The fix that worked for Vista apparently doesn't work for Windows 7 (or 64-bit, or both). Any tech saavy photogs out there figure this one out yet?

I have a Windows laptop but do all my real work on a Mac. I gather that this is a real problem in Windows, however, I found a commercial plug-in that appears to do what you want if that helps you at all. http://www.ardfry.com/psd-codec/

Glad that worked for you. I am really not a serious Windows user, but I have to say that Windows 7 looks like a big jump forward compared to Vista.

Yes, I have enabled thumbnails on and I can see thumbnails for every filetype EXCEPT Nikon NEF files. Any thoughts on that one?

working on that one, I believe everyone has issues with nikon files. Even adobe; when i load my files in lightroom, it changes my settings. if you can shoot in tiff. i would do it, shot with a d700 set my likings, made editing much faster. this is good if lighting is to your liking.
