I was wondering if anyone had made the leap yet to Windows 7 from Vista and how did it go? Installing CS3 on Vista64 for me was quite an ordeal. I am considering sitting on this for a while as the inevitable unknown features bubble to the surface.

I heard a great recommendation from a friend who works in the IT industry, and he said to wait to purchase any new version of Windows until the first Service Pack is released to fix the bugs.

I upgraded to Win 7 and had a momentary problem with CS4 but none now. On an off topic the game Fallout 3 which I have used for a year with Vista will not work which is odd since it is offered on Games For Windows Live. Win 7 has an option that if you go to "RUN" on a program it gives an option to look at programs that ran okay under earlier versions of Windows and it tries to mimic that version. However in the case of this game it comes back and says "incompatible application". I know others (from the Fallout website" who have had no issues. Other than that I like Win7 so far.

I am running and have been running Windows7 beta since Jan09. I am in the IT business for 20 years and this may be one of the best products MS has put out yet. I have had zero problems with Windows7 and CS3 or CS4. I run 32 bit on my laptop and 64 bit on my main desktop. System requirements for hardware are less for 7 than that of Vista. That being said if you DO NOT have 4 Gig of RAM I would not recommend it, if you have 4 Gig or over do the upgrade you will not look back

I am running it on my laptop with 3 gigs of ram, adobe lightroom, photoshop cs3,dreamweaver cs4.
no issues. cool thing is, i updated from xp, backed up all my files first and took the leap, it had all the drivers for my system, except the webcam which it went online and found for me, without me asking it.
I'm running the 32bit professional version.
