Hi,
here is my veru concrete question:

I have my kind of studio at home with 3 flash-heads for light setup+reflector that I always use since I like the results of using it.

Now, I want to use soft box instead of reflector(it was always silver).

If I have f8 for the main light and I ussually have also f8 for the backlight, what should be f-number for the fill instead of reflector. Is it f4....
I have Seconik lightmeter to use for this purpose.
Here is the sample photo of which results I get with reflector, and my goal is to do that with soft box, or umbrella for fill....
Any other suggestion for fill light is welcome since I did not use any other then silver reflector before....
Thanks in advance...

Based on your example I would say at least f5.6 or maybe slightly under f8.0.

Zakd,
The images you have posted here are very flatly lite with almost no modeling to the face. You could accomplish the same thing with one soft box directly in front of the model.
