Hi all,
It would seem that you all rearranged the bar stools since the last time i was here. I know I'm an idiot, but I've been on a long strange trip during the last year and i'm trying to pull up my pants and get back into using my camera stuff. Anyway, i had bought a macbook pro for photo purposes and it was nice to do tethered shooting with. But, i no longer have the macbook. i'm still paying for it, but, don't have it. Know what I mean?

I kinda want to upgrade or build a pc to do tethered shooting with (a box is cheaper then a laptop) and I was wondering what you all thought about what a right cpu/ram combination would be. I know that being tethered via USB is a limiting factor, ie transfer rate, before the image can show up on the screen. I have a 1.7 ghz celeron laptop that i put a 1 gig ram chip in recently for photoshop purposes. I haven't yet tried tethered shooting with it, because on the 1.7 celeron cpu. Come to think of it, it may be a 1.4 ghz cpu.

I have a 5d. I can't remember if it is USB1 or 2. Anyway, Any suggestions for cpu speed and ram? No sense in spending money on overkill.

Thanks
