I have noticed that both Canon and Epson ink costs on my printers have been a bit ridiculous! and i HATE IT!

Has anyone ever used the HP DesignJet 90? I actually sell printers, and we have these in stock. I have used it for demos but not for any glam photos.

ive been told because im a photographer, i can get a really good deal on this particular model because im a photog by my CEO, but im not sure if i should spend the cash.

any comments???

While I'm not really a fan of HP printers, since you have used them for demos I'm a little confused by your question. A printer which prints well doesn't really care whether it is printing glamour or scenics. It it prints scenics well, then it will print glamour well.

Since you sell them and since you have done demos with them, you should probably be answering the question instead of asking it.

As for myself and my own preferences, I'm totally unfamiliar with the HP line, but I've not seen anything which rivals the Epson printers.

I use Epson also and have had very few problems, nothing that couldn't be solved. I have the 7600(4 years) and 9800 series(1 year).

Lately my printers have been idle, I have way to many dollars invested in them. The local pro labs online prices have been too good to pass up. You do the correcting, and with the color profiles now a days, the results have been very good.

I agree, I used to do my own printing on Epson printers and had wonderfull results, but I was going broke buying ink. I don't have access to any local pro labs, but I use an online lab pro lab and have my prints in 2 days or less. The local Sam's club also does a very nice job if I'm in a real rush.

I have a Epson R2400 for Nudes and what-not, otherwise I do all my small printing at the local Costco, you can download the color-files for specific printers at specific Costco' and then use them in your PhotoShop files, this works out very nicely for me...
