700.... why NOT get the full frame?? Even if u have tons of DX lenses, ebay them...

I feel terrible ... and happy today. After posting that I would happily stick with my D300 ... I sold it to my assistant ... and bought a D700. Good bye crop factor ... hello FULL FRANE SENSOR!

Don't be afraid.... You will love the new sensor and the opportunities for using traditional focal lengths for portraiture in your studio!

It's funny ... the full frame sensor will allow me to fill my frame with more image, like what I used to get from my 35mm film camera ... but the eyepiece on the D700 will only let me see 95% of the image I'm shooting. LOL Regardless ... I'm sure I'll LOVE IT! Stay tuned for pictures from my shoots this weekend.

My buddy and I shoot Oly E-3's and he picked up the D700 because of low light.
Loves the full frame and will be unloading his oly gear.
He wasn't impressed with build, etc. of D300 but the D700 he loves.
