I have some velvety type material that seems to not wrinkle , since it is shiny all over and stretched out I don't notice any wrinkles , but like you said , they just don't make them in wide enough lengths

Thanks for the reply

You might check into the poly canvas backgrounds. I have a few of them in 6x9 sizes and they are great compared to regular cloth (muslins, etc) products I was using. They can even be wiped clean quite easily. I have even gotten some on ebay for for cheap.

But when it comes to on location shoots, at least it's been my experience that the reason for going on location is for different backgrounds. I'm just curious what you use them for on locations, to me, it dosn't make sense really. Of course, no disrespect meant, I'm sure you know what you're doing and use the appropriate equipment to get what you want for your clients. I'm just curious, that's all.

My studio tends to be of a portable and compact nature, and I'll often setup to do portrait and bluescreen work at various events or client locations, depending on what I'm shooting. Personally, I prefer non-backdrop work as it's a lot less stuff to lug around, LOL!.

The handful of times I've set up large backdrops outside, it was more so to try some light bouncing for a large group shoot. (was kinda eh in result)

Pretty much. I don't have a set "walk in" studio and do much of my portrait work at clients sites. I need to get a vehicle that can handle rolled backdrops and not suck gas like a pirate in a rumery.
