OK, here is what Chuck said about my newly created website,
http://www.Brennansphotography.com

A few quick things for you Pete.
First off, for not knowing anything about the web, your site looks good -- and it's very easy to navigate.
On every page, I see a white speck at the same spot. Likely a design issue...perhaps CSS. Here is what I see (the green arrow points to it):

Your menu could be improved b by changing the currently hovered item to a bright white rather than a dull grey.
Your home page generates a ton of errors. None of these are critical as most browsers will tolerate them well enough. But, if you'd like to see them, go here: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...Inline&group=0
Good luck![/quote]

I built this website using Network Soultions templetes. I have sent them an email asking them about the errors that Chuck noted. (Thanks Chuck!)

My new question is what do I have to do t get it to show up on search engines. If I search for my site my MM site show up but this site dosen't.

Thanks again guys, I really do appreciate ALL of you, and this site!!

Good site. But I would like to see the photos in the glories section to the left or the right of the larger images. I had to scroll down to see the small images and then back up to see the large images. If you were to do this there would be no scrolling at all. I have a 17wide monitor.

thanks
Brian
Great work

What I meant on the menu was that the hovered item should be brighter than the non-hovered items.

"My new question is what do I have to do t get it to show up on search engines. If I search for my site my MM site show up but this site dosen't."

Google has you listed. I didn't check the other SE's.

To improve your rankings:
- Use MetaTags in your code for description and keywords.
- Use good text on your pages (looks like you did)
- Add in Google Sitemap and regular Sitemap
- Goto AOL, MSN, Yahoo and manually submit your site to them.
- Exchange links with other's in your industry.
- Put your website on -everything- you hand out. Cards, fliers, receipts, invoices, etc.
- On forums that will allow it, put a link in your signature and be an active member there.
- If you maintain a walk-in location, be certain the address is in your front window.

Do Not:
- use words the same color as the background
- repeat words over and over again in the text OR in the metatags
- create "special" pages just for the search engines
- worry about getting on the millions of lists, directories etc that are out there.
- forget normal advertising such as fliers, phone book, newspaper, magazine, business cards, and car signs.
