The RAW converter program...

Just would like to know how you like it?

I would be using it on a mac-pro...

I have never heard of Bibble. I have been using Paint Shop Pro (curently version 10) for several years (because I couldn't afford Photo Shop). I don't see many image manipulation features in Bibble on their web page. They advertise all the plugins available for it...but that would get expensive quickly. What is the one feature about Bibble that would make me want to move away from Paint Shop Pro? I can do batch processing, work with RAW files, use layers, tons of image manipulations, and can create results approaching Photo Shop (wait now...I said approaching Photo Shop).

I am wondering if I am mssing out on features that will prepare me for the move to CS3.

Thanks

I have used it in the past but have always gone back to Capture one.

Same as RSStory... I started with Bibble. All I use now for RAW processing is Capture One.

I used Bibble a while back as part of some testing I was doing on various RAW converters. I didn't care for it. I also tried Capture one and found it to be weak for my kind of work flow. I use CS3's RAW converter for 90% of my work as it has some powerful functionality that allows rapid and efficient use.
Please keep in mind that none of these products should be compared to Photoshop or any Photo editor as they are primarily intended as RAW converters. By the way, for the Lightroom crowd, the RAW converter in it is the same one as in CS3. Also keep in mind that some of the original Capture One programming team now works on CS3 and Lightroom's RAW processes.
Cheers,
rfs

We use Bibble for all RAW conversion. It is fast, accurate and easy to use. Also produces 16bit files. The ability to handle batch processing is a big plus. Best suggestion is tryit, download and give it a try, thats free.

I use it as a basic RAW converter and do the majority of post work in Photoshop. Is it what you're looking for? Download it and give it a spin.

Best,
Alan
