Hi,

I use Firefox and have an add-on called Exif Viewer.

You can get it here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3905

Then I just right mouse click on the image, and choose to view its Exif information. Works extremely well.

Best regards,
Kevin

Found this online to explain --

Digital cameras save JPEG (.jpg) files with EXIF (Exchangeable Image File) data. Camera settings and scene information are recorded by the camera into the image file. Examples of stored information are shutter speed, date and time, focal length, exposure compensation, metering pattern and if a flash was used.
Use EXIF as a learning tool

Many camera owners study EXIF to compare successful photos to those that are not. Data provides insight about how camera settings affect photo characteristics such as exposure, depth-of-field and subject movement.

EXIF is read by applications that support JPEGs. They include web browsers, image editing and organizing programs and some printer drivers. The printer drivers use the information to automatically enhance images, which can result in a better looking prints.

Exif data is very helpful to let you "see" what your camera setting were when you took the shot.

If you have photoshop, then use File | Info for the current photo. Here is what you'll see:

Then select Camera Data 1 on the left for the basic EXIF info. If you go to advanced, then you can see the RAW EXIF info divided into several areas. You can also find all the RAW settings if you have processed the image as a RAW photo.

There is a ton of info here, more than you'll probably ever use. You can also export the data to a XML file and then play with it in a text editor or with a script and then load it back in. You can run batch processes to update the Metadata which can be useful for adding copyright notices to all files in a folder, etc.

Cheers,
rfs
