As some of you may know from reading my earlier post I bought a new lense this week, the Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 XR DI.

As some of you also know from reading my posts th the Forums I am very much against trying to fix a problem simply by throwing money at it but in this instance I can unequivocally state that buying that lense was money very well spent. There is no doubt that Tamron makes some great lenses and this is certainly one of them and I will hang onto it until the day I die. Sharp, good contrast, no CA that I could find, smooth operating, and more. As the kids are fond of saying: all that and a bag of chips! Kuddos to Tamron for an incredible lense. Now if I can only live up to the potential of the lense but that will have to be a post for another time.

Stay tuned to the Forums because I did a shoot this morning and I will have photos up shortly. Nuff said.

When I bought my D200 I bought one of these because of the rave reviews it was getting.

My copy suffered some problems, but after sending it off to Tamron for calibration it came back sharp as a tack.

I don't use it so much any more. The lens that stays on my camera 90% of the time is my 50mm.

I will say I was so impressed by the 28-75 Tamron that I also bought the 17-50 f/2.8.
