Came across this today and thought I should share. I remember so many questions about low light no flash shooting that this just jumped at me.

I heard about this on CNBC this morning. It really suprised me that Kodak is rolling it out to point & shoots and camera phones before DSLR's.

Does the "panchromatic" cells thing not sound a little like the Foveon X3 sensor that has been out for a few years already?

It's all in the numbers. Selling millions of units compared to a 10s of thousands just makes more sense to the business side. Plus it looks to be in the preset category and DSLR users may not be able to use it the way it stands now.
