Probably a dumb question, but, every so often I get this mesage on my computer:

"Sorry, unable to display page. We have detected that JavaScript has been disabled in your browser. Our site requires JavaScript be enabled. Please enable JavaScript in your browser settings and try again."

I have enabled everything I can find on Java or Sun systems. At startup I get an error window titled "Java Virual Machine Launcher" containing the message "Could not find the Main class. Program will exit"

I'm trying to access the DHL website to check on a package delivery.

Any help would be appreciated,
Doc

Hi Doc,

Java (Sun application) and JavaScript are different animals.

Here's a link to turn on JavaScript.

http://www.tranexp.com/win/JavaScript-enabling.htm

Best regards,
Kevin

No joy, no joy... Thanks, but Scripting is already enabled! That is what is frustrating about this glitch - it looks like I'm doing everything right...

Hmmm....that's odd.

I am a big fan of Firefox browser (I am using it now), which you can get here:

http://en.www.mozilla.com/en/firefox/

It should allow JavaScript automatically. Plus it is dead easy to toggle off and on.

Tools | Options | Content | Enable JavaScript

And Java is similar

Tools | Options | Content | Enable Java

If Firefox doesn't work for you, then I suspect you've got an issue with your security software (Norton or whatever you are using).

Hope this helps.

Best regards,
Kevin

Went into the control panel and removed all Java (Sun) software, then went to the Java.com website and downloaded and re-installed Java. All is well now.

That's really odd given that Java and JavaScript are two different animals. Your error message was related to JavaScript yet you fixed Java.

The good news is that you are up and running again.

There were several associated Java entries which I removed, and I think the error was associated with one of them. Possibly a corrupted file or incomplete install of some sort. Since I'm up and running OK, it obviously was something I didn't need that was causing the problem - sounds like life, doesn't it!
