Nice site Jim.
Stu

Thanks, man. I'm surprised I didn't destroy it. I'm not too bright.

Usually in the interface you use to add the photos, there is a place where it shows the default mouse over or (sort of ALt tag). If you erase it whatever default text shows up, that usually gets rid of the mouseover text.
I don't use Flash myself due to the problems with search engines for flash based sites. I do use flash elements for limited special effects embedded in more normally constructed HTML pages and PHP pages. I use SwishMax for creating my flash files.
PS: I can't read the menu text used on your site. I'm on IE7 at 1024 x 768 resollution. The text looks squeezed horizontally.
Cheers,
rfs

Thanks for the advice everyone. George did help me find the object but when you delete the layer, all the floaters go away....I wanted to keep them on the main menu but not elsewhere (which I didn't mention...I'm an asshat)...so apparently that's more complicated.

I tried changing the pics and adding the section test to the images but it looked messy and too away from the initial first impression.

So, I did find the Image Titles in the variables section, but even when changed, the changes don;t stick for some reason. (oy vay...html is looking good now.)

I may leave it as is. Are the Image Title things annoying or irrelevant?

I haven't given up but geez......

They still are hard to read. Here is what I'm seeing:

What is "Charme" and "Visage" suppose to mean to a typical visitor? Will they have any idea what these menu items are about?

Cheers,
Roger

Hola Roger

C'est francais, monsieur! I kinda like the chic-ness of the labels. I hate the atypical glamour and Portrait labels.

Who is your audience? What is the purpose of the website? Do you want good search engine ranking? You often have to balance artistic creativity with commercial considerations.
Cheers,
rfs

Well looks like you are making progress. Glad to see it. I am not a big fan of flash sites due to problems with search engines, but it does look nice. Best of luck with your project. I have a demo portal site set up just to give you a look at other ways of doing it. You can set up a user and if you want access to the admin pages to look around just pm me. For that matter anyone is welcome to look around and play with the site.

good luck
