Well, I finally got a new comp, and unfortunately, I'm running Windows Vista, and for some reason when I go to install Photoshop on here, the startup window just stays blank. It opens, but is just a white empty window, and I was wondering if anybody else out there has had the same problem, and any possible solutions.

The official statement of Adobe appears to say that they'll not support CS2 or earlier for Vista. But it will be fully supported in CS3. So that means that people who are not prepared to upgrade, may have problems. This is also true if you use plug-ins for Photoshop. Since I have dozens of these, I don't really want to play the upgrade game yet. I would stay with XP. If you buy a new computer, you are often stuck and will just have to do the best you can. Good luck. I am seeing a number of vendors that give their customers a choice in OS on new machines. But if you buy retail, I see fewer computers with XP available.

Cheers,
rfs

Well, I want to thank everybody for their information and help. But I was able to get Photoshop CS2 to work in Windows Vista. It took copying all of the files onto my hard drive, and doing some searching for the photoshop setup file, because the normal setup file was just coming up as a blank page. But so far the only problem I am having is that the updater isn't working, but all other features are working fine so far.
