I need to make some big light panels. Someone, either here or on another forum, had made some 10 foot by 10 foot ones. Mine won't be that tall. But, I had bought some rip-stop thats about 5 ft wide. I was wondering if I should choose something other than rip-stop. This stuff I have is flag material. You can see the pinkness of your hand through it though.

I was also thinking about these 10 x 10 ft ones this guy made and wondered if he was using a single light or 2 or 4. Any ideas?

If you can see the pinkness of your hand, then IMHO you're losing one of the advantage of a diffusion panel.... diffusion.

I've tried cotton bedsheets, and some very lightweight nuslin, but ripstop seems to work the best for me. Take a field trip down to your local sewing materials store and see what else they may have.

I use ripstop for all my home made diffusers. A Walmart near my house was closing out their fabric department. I made a bee-line and got almost a bolt of rip stop for like $5 a couple of months ago. I'm set for life.
