I am considering the Nikon D80 and would like to get feedback from any current users of the camera.

Thanks

Gus,

I have just purchased a new Nikon D80 (2 months ago) and I like it even better than my Nikon D200. It may not be as rugged as the D200, but I'm not about to drop it. Also, the image re-workable (Black & White, Sepia & D-Lighting) is something that the D200 does not have. The only drawback is that it does not have a PC plug for Studio Flash. I love mine and again I use it more than my D200 at quite a reduced price.

I noticed that there was no plug for studio flash, but isn't there an adapter that fits in the hotshoe for PC plug?

thanks for responding.

Yes there is, but it does not have TTL Flash capabilities. It will work fine on Manual for Studio Flash though. Again, I love my D80 and would recommend it to anyone.
P.S. Don't get the kit w/ the lens because my camera store said the lens that came in the kit was a piece of crap. Buy the body and a good seperate lens.

Bought the camera yesterday, with the 18-135mm lense. Have read both positive and negative reviews of the lense - so may have to upgrade in the future. Thanks for your input. gus
