Marketing departments, Keep them out of the loop as long as possible. Sell the boss first, then tell marketing that the boss wants this printer. Marketing people are vermin. Get ride of them if at all possible.

Now for an update:

we decided to order the HP Z3100. The reason for not choosing an Epson9800 is non-technical: hardly any wholesalers have the 9800 on stock. Even worse, the IT companies I talked to, have sold HP's 90 % of the time here in Germany (some canons).

Now I can expect good support from them for HP's, but hardly for Epson...

I'm really looking forward to the Z3100 as it seems to do everything we need, even calibration is built in (!) and it prints on a variety of media.
