I don't know if that's true anymore. I got a couple of Alien Bees almost a year ago (I live in Germany) and I think they are great value for money. Some time ago I got an email from AB saying that they will not sell to international NEW customers anymore. Maybe you should just ask them. Their service is great.

Just bought a Bowens Esprit 500w two light kit with additional beauty dish. From reviews they seem to be the mut's nut's so I should have them today!
