I BOUGHT AN OLYMPUS E-1 DIGITAL CAMERA AND I AM HAVING A PROBLEM
WITH FOCUSING.HOW DO YOU GET IN FOCUS PICTURES WITH THE OLYMPUS E-1 DIGITAL CAMERA.

Hmm - that's what I use most of the time. well, that just raises more questions - what problem are you having - is it focusing in the wrong place, hunting, are you moving the camera after you lock focus, is the in focus light coming on in the viewfinder, which focus points are you using? I occaisionally have focus issues, but it's usually my fault - like I have the wrong focus point selected, or there's not enough ambient light etc. make sure the shutter release priority for s-af is off so it won't release until the focus locks. (you can still "fool" it by locking and reframing)

PHOTOMAN,

I own an E-300 and on occassion I have trouble with focus too. I normally shoot in S+MF mode. Really without being more specific it's difficult to nail the problem down,

hi I am shooting parotts I AM USING THE 14 TO45 LENS.THE HEAD OF THE PAROTT IS IN FOCUS BUT THE LEFT WING AND THE RIGHT WING IS OUT OF FOCUS BUT THE CHEST OF THE PAROTT IS IN FOCUS.MAYBE I AM TOO
CLOSE.

This does not sound like a focus problem, it is a depth of field issue. Use a smaller f stop and you will see more "in focus". Try going to f8.0 or maybe f11 if you have enough light.

hi steve b I took your advice about use a small fstop and it worked.I used f-22and I
used 80th of a second.I WANT TO THANK EVERYBODY HERE THAT HELPED
