For those of us that make frequent use of the right click menus for navigating in our browsers or for other legal and legitimate purposes, I post the following snippit of code:

javascript:void(document.oncontextmenu=null)

Just copy and paste the above into the Address bar of your browser whenever you are on a page that disabled the right click menu. Then press Enter. The right click will now work until you go to another page that disables it again. I made a shortcut (bookmark, or Favorite) with the above code as the URL. It is always visible as a shortcut or link at the top of my browser, so I can click it anytime I wish.

If the above doesn't work, then use this code instead:

javascript:void(document.onmousedown = null);void(document.onclick = null);void(document.oncontextmenu = null)

Hope this helps out those who regularly use the right click menu for legal purposes.

cheers,
rfs

Ah, but it does
You still get that pesky message box, but after you press "Enter" on your keyboard (don't use your mouse), the right-click menu pops up.

Here are the two states of the right click menu from my browser. The one on the left is when I click on a image and the one on the right when I click on an area that is not an image. The typical right click disable routines disable both of these. I've circled in red those options that I use all the time which I would lose if I allowed the disable routine to be effective:

So when ever someone disables the right click menu, they are in effect attacking me personally by robbing me of options which are available to me in my browser. And as we already know, disabling the right click menu does not really protect the images from being copied, printed, saved, etc. There are other methods of somewhat protecting images that will work better and they should be the first line of defense.

Cheers,
rfs

so cool -- I'm always right-clicking a page to navigate or get properties of something and getting annoying nanny messages -- thanks!
