I have a series of 5x7's to print. In photoshop CS2 you can go to automate and then to picture package and print two 5x7's to a page. They are always the same two however.

I have a folder of 5X7's that I want printed two to a page, and I want each one only printed once. Perhaps I am missing something...any ideas how I do it?

You can pick which photos will be in each space. Here is a screen shot:

But if I wanted to bulk print I usally would use FotoSlate 4 which is geared to this sort of automation and gives you better control.

Well I hit enter to soon on the earlier response. The second method uses the Contact Sheet II automation. Here is a screen shot that shows the setup for doing a batch of 5x7's (change the vertical and horzontal in step 3 to 0 for exactly 5x7)

Keep in mind, however, that you just end up with sheets in Photoshop and now you have to print them. The FotoSlate I recommended, will do everything for you including color management, etc.

Cheers,
rfs

Try this, use the contact sheet 2 command in Automate,
Set your doc size to 7.1 x 10.5,
1 column, 2 rows,
turn off use filename for caption
turn on rotate for best fit

this worked for me, test it out and let us know

Steve
