Just because I am not too excited doesn't mean I am dissin' Fuji as I strongly believe what they do is right for me.

I feel the same.. I would most likely get one.. because I like fuji and have had everything since the s1, but if Nikons D3 is anything close to the Mk2, then I will finally switch to Nikon.

Dear Mr. Foerster,

We recently received your letter regarding your displeasure towards the launch of the S5 Pro. We are truly sorry to hear how disappointed you are.

To be completely honest, Fujifilm did hope to increase the total resolution of our sensor for this model, but it was not achievable for this particular product. Unfortunately, we are not at liberty to discuss the future plans of Fujifilm Professional Digital SLR cameras at this time, but please rest assured that your concerns have been heard. In addition, the Fujifilm USA marketing staff has always supported and substantiated your feelings, and we expect greater changes down the road.

We hope that you still remain a loyal Fujifilm supporter going forward, and maybe even give the S5 Pro a chance. We hope you would be pleasantly surprised by the improvements in the body itself, as well as the minor enhancements to the Super CCD Pro with an improved moiré filter, and expanded dynamic range to produce "film like" results.

Kind regards,

USA Marketing Staff

Fujifilm USA, Electronic Imaging Division

S5 Pro is reported to be a major improvement over the S3 Pro in terms of handling capability and build quality. Curiously, it is similar in appearance to Nikon D200 although the mechanisms inside are different. It utilizes a SuperCCD SR Pro imaging chip that claims to offer improvements in noise, dynamic range, colour, and tonality over its predecessor. If you want to learn more about this amazing new release from Fuji, you are advised to visit this site, http://www.smartratings.com/review/p...l_cameras/1028 , where expert reviews for S5 Pro are compiled and aggregated. Hope this helps.
