Are there 2 versions of Canon lenses out there at 70-300mm? When i do a Yahoo Shopping search im seeing what appears to be two different looking lenses. There's also a price discrepancy. $650-$1200. However the descriptions appear identical. Could someone please clear this up for me? Thanx in advance.

ok. i looked on Canon's site and indeed there are two different 70-300mm.

EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM
EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM

Could someone tell me the practical differences between the two. Thanx.

Go back and look closely and you'll find that one of the lens is physically a lot smaller than the other. Its the one that costs a lot more.

Here are photos and info on the two lens. I think you'll see the big difference.
