Does anyone know how to switch off the auto adjustment in the RAW screen of CS2?

I know you can click on the little arrow and switch it off, but it comes back on when I open the next image. It also processes the images in bridge which makes them take longer to load. Is there any way to change the defaults?

Pete

Uncheck all of the boxes in the Camera Raw dialogue in the "adjust" tab, reduce Sharpness to zero on the "detail" tab, etc. Then on the arrow flyout click "save new camera raw defaults". Click done.

You already have good advice on how to turn the feature off, now let me suggest, you might now want to. If you shoot consistently with good exposure technique and good color balance, then once you set up and calibrate ACR to your taste, you can profit greatly by the auto processing of the thumbnails in bridge. I find that I run about 90% of the shots that are almost exactly on and so I can choose quickly from bridge the photos to work with.

Cheers,
rfs
