Gary:

Thanks for taking the time to look this up. I am familiar with the lab and use them for my film processing. They only do basic machine printing as far as I know.

This lab is in the Philipines, however I hear their prices are well worth it, and their quality is very good. I know of a local photographer here in Australia that sends them (black and white) digital files, which they have a (very expensive I'm assuming) machine that will put the digital images onto 4x5 film, which they print in a darkroom. He started using them instead of a lab in LA. Worth an enquiry anyway.

I am in Oklahoma. I have never tried to print for anyone else but I have an Epson 4800, use Imageprint, and have the paper.

Maybe I can help you out somehow. I live in exquisitely beautiful Muskogee - the Killing Fields of Oklahoma according to last Sunday's Tulsa World. LOL

Sorry I'm so late responding. Really busy. I would really question the person that responded poorly about the processing of MPIX. I know the company and how they do business and there is know way that an Epson anything will produce as good a print as the people your using now. I have used MPIX parent company for ten years and only returned 2 items in that time.(I'm not bashing Epson, I own one and love it.) I know I have not seen what you displayed but I know the work of this company.

If you were looking for change, White House is great also.

Good luck

Try www.lightboxinc.com for custom or their sister company www.inkjetoutput.com if you can send preflighted files.

I have checked out inkjetoutput and they have prompt turnaround and great quality.

I just purchased an r2400 but will use these guys for larger work.

Thanks for the comments and the lead. The gallery owner really did not like the MPIX prints (I however agree with you on them) and actually wanted to see my work as chemical prints. Barring that, he suggested the 2400 and good paper. Another Okie here on G1 has graciously offered to print some stuff for me so I can see the differences.
