i'm tired of looking and i cant find a local store that has a strap for my 1N that i like. it seems like everything i see is for binoculars or camcorders. the actual camera straps i do find are "stock" canon or nikon and not what im looking for.

so i am taking my search online. can anyone tell me a good strap manufacturer/brand and where to get it? they only thing i can equate in my mind to what im looking for is more like a guitar strap in apperance.

Check the professional camera stores in your area, or go online and look at retailers like B and H Photo Video - you should be able to find a wide variety of sturdy, dependable straps.

I prefer the 1.5" Domke "Gripper" straps, myself. They're available through B&H for about $17 .

Tamrac also makes good straps: http://www.tamrac.com/g_camerastraps.htm
You can find them just about everywhere.
