I just got a 60 CT-1 on ebay and am not real familiar with it.
I did download the manual from the Metz site but it's not answering my main question....

It states that when charging the battery the red and green LED will light until 80%, then the red one will begin to blink. ( Usually after 7 hours of charging.) I have been charging it for most of the day and the red LED went out, but didn't blink.
When I turn on the main switch the power LED blinks. Is this indicating the battery needs more charging?

I hope someone here has some experience with these units.

Joe

Hmmm......that's not been my experience with that unit. I've had several. Have 2 now that need Dryfits...

Upon first connecting the charger to the pack, if the red charge lamp comes on and STAYS on, the pack needs recharging. The fact that the red lamp goes out is NOT an indication of a full charge. It simply means there is at least 80 percent capacity.

A full charge can easily take a full day, sometimes longer (I'm assuming Dryfit as the power source, it was/is by far the most popular).

The blinking red lamp next to the power switch means the unit is both turned on and has sufficient capacity to produce a full power flash. If the lamp glows a steady red, the pack is nearly depleted and will no longer produce flashes reliably.

Hope this helps...

David
